T71/1592 p. 192 and p. 202: letters, dated 11/08/1835 and 14/08/1835, to Wm. Mercer, 24 Addington Place, Ramsgate, re. St James claim nos. 166 & 172 in Chancery (presumably in Jamaica). Ibid p. 350: letter, dated 19/11/1835, stating: 'I am directed to acquaint you that it is impossible from the nature of the busines of the office to keep up a correspondence with Parties as to their individual claims'. Has sent a copy of the rules 'as you state that you are unacquainted with the Rules and Orders of the Commission'.
Wm. Mercer received compensation under St James claim no. 172.
