Beneficiary of the will of Michael Hyams (q.v.) from whom he inherited Black River estate in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, after the death of Susanna Bowes (q.v.) who was tenant-for-life. A minor in 1826 when he first appears in the slave registers as ward of Herman Hendricks (q.v.).
