Biography

  1. Will of Thomas Brewster widower of St Michael Barbados proved 07/07/1766. Under the will he left £4000 currency to each of his two sons Thomas Brewster and Christopher Sedgwick Brewster and £2000 currency to his daughter Elizabeth Martha Brewster, as well as smaller annuities and monetary legacies. He instructed his executors to 'ship off bad, weak sickly and disorderly slaves' from his estate called Warrens and entitled them to sell sugars to 'foreign markets' if they saw fit. His residuary heir was his son John, then his other sons and daughter.
