Biography

  1. Administration of the will of Dr Thomas Lashley Doctor of Physick and Fellow of Royal Society now confined in the Kings Bench Prison ['where I have been upwards of ten years'] [made in 1805] was granted 04/04/1807. One of his executors was Hon. Spencer Perceval Attorney-General [and later Prime Minister], the other Isaac Hawkins Browne [MP]. Lashley had he said a 'most just claim secured by mortgage on the estate of the late Benjamin Bostock' of Barbados, which he left to his two daughters Margaret Salter Lashley and Mary Rebecca Salter. His executors appear to have renounced their roles in favour of Margaret Salter Lashley.

In his will made in 1805 Dr Thomas Lashley, then in Kings Bench Prison in England, said he had a 'most just claim' secured by mortgage on the unnamed estate of the late Benjamin Bostock. LBS has tentatively inferred this was the Yorkshire estate.
