Biography

Awarded a share of the compensation as part of a large group of claimants for the enslaved people on Tryall estate in Hanover Jamaica. The path to ownership has not yet been clarified for this award.

  1. In 1861 a Henry Desborough aged 76 pensioner of the Atlas Assurance Co., was living at Broadgate Villa Pilton, Barnstaple Devon with wife Mary aged 46.  In 1851 he appears aged 63 Secretary of the Atlas Life Assurance Co.,  living Beckenham with daughter Mary aged 25 and younger children.
