Owner of enslaved people in Demerara. One of the executors of J. Heraut.

Born Amsterdam 02/04/1802, died in Amsterdam 27/01/1876. Partner in Le Normant & Ouwenaller, merchants Amsterdam, 1836-1853. Made a Knight of the Order of the Netherlands Lion, 1843. "He was certainly in Demerara during 1830-1835. Uncertain what the nature of his business was in Demerara."

Enslaved boy on Unity Valley Pen, Jamaica. Manumitted in 1795 by David Barclay and removed to Philadelphia, with 29 other freed persons from the estate, where he was placed under the care of Society for Improving the Condition of Free Blacks.
