Online genealogies of the Bernard family are often contradictory and misleading, and many show Sabina Judith as the daughter of Charles Bernard (d. 1842 [sic]) and Eliza or Elizabeth Samuells Morris.The will of Charles Bernard made in 1819 and proved in 1820 clearly identified his wife as Elizabeth Samuels [sic] Bernard, and refers to but does not name a daughter or daughters. Administration of this will was granted to Elizabeth Samuells Bernard the widow in 1838. |
