Agnes Murray (née Smith)

Agnes née Smith, widow, co-executrix and trustee of David Murray (q.v.) and sister of Thomas Smith MP (1755-1831).

1. Daughter of Stephen Smith and Margaret Wildman, of Wray near Melling Co. Lancaster, born 1760, married David Murray 16/12/1794 at St Clement Danes. Under the will of David Murray of Melling Co. Lancaster proved 14/01/1823 Agnes Murray was confirmed in an annuity of £1000 p.a. earlier settled on her and secured on the Bath estate and the enslaved people living on it. Hornby House was shown still as the seat of Mrs Agnes Murray in 1837.
