Gilmore Dames Gregg

Recipient of slave compensation for 3 awards in Kingston, Jamaica, with his wife Rachel Gregg nee Fuertado and Isaac David Fuertado.

1. Gilmore Gregg married Rachael Fuertado in St Andrew, Jamaica, 26/12/1834. At the baptism of their son Frederick Charles Leopold, born 20/01/1836 and baptised in Trelawny 05/07/1836, his occupation was given as Special Justice. On the same day, their son Augustus Philip Gregg was baptised with a birth date of 08/12/1836. They had a daughter, Martha Rachael, born 09/11/1838, when Gilmore Dames (or Dawes?) was given as a gentleman of Knight Street, Kingston. He was Stipendiary Magistrate in St Andrew in 1835, Magistrate in Trelawny in 1836, Stipendiary Magistrate in St Thomas-in-the-East in 1837.
