William Crawley

Three London-based executors of William Crawley were awarded part of the compensation for the Caledonia estate on Barbados, where he was described as assignee of a judgement.

1. This was William Crawley of Charterhouse Square whose will [made in 1828 with a codicil of 1829] was proved 24/08/1830. One of the executors, John Richard Farre, was of Charterhouse Square and was William Crawley's son-in-law; the others were William Baker and Thomas Jones, consistent with the compensation award. Crawley left property at Hoddesdon and monetary legacies to his Farre grandchildren. William Crawley was 83 years old when buried at St Botolph without, Bishopsgate, 20/07/1830.
