Biography

  1. Will of John Campbell of St Thomas [in the Vale] County of Surrey Jamaica [made 12/05/1832] proved 03/08/1835. He left £1000 to his brother Colin Campbell of the Royal Navy and £500 each to Sarah and Alexander Wilson, the children of his friend John Wilson of Kingston Jamaica. He left his wife Anne an annuity of £100 p.a. Subject to those legacies he left every part and parcel of his property to his sons John Charles Campbell and Edward Colin Campbell. In a codicil he identified his estate as Belgar. Administration was granted in 1855, when he was described as a Lt-colonel in HM's Army.
