Biography

Attorney and manager for Thomas Sealy (q.v.) on two estates in St John, Barbados.

  1. The will of Thomas Francis of St John Barbados proved in London 25/10/1849 is almost certainly this man, given that one of his executors was John Sealy. Among other monetary legacies, he left £2000 currency to each of his sons Thomas Francis and Herny Francis, sons of Ann Will Padmore, and £2000 currency to his daughter Frances Ann Mapp, wife of James Browne Mapp and daughter of Orange [sic] Harris, to whom he left £750 currency. He left £2000 sterling to his sister Ann Williard of Sevenoaks and a further £1000 in trust for their sister Mrs Susannah Cole then residing at Brasted in Kent.
