Miles Brathwaite junior

Miles Brathwaite (c. 1801-1857), son of Hon. Miles Brathwaite (q.v.). In 1841 Miles Brathwaite and his family were shown at the Grove, St Pancras. Imprisoned for debt in London in 1844 and by 1851 was living at Hythe, Kent as Chief Officer Coastguard with his family.

1. '[Bankruptcy of] Miles Brathwaite, formerly of Chepstow, in Barbadoes, West Indies, trading there alone as a Merchant, and at same time trading in copartnership with W. H. Boxill, at Bridge-town, in Barbadoes aforesaid, as Merchants, under the firm and style of Miles Brathwaite and Company, then of No. 5, Fortress-terrace, Kentish-town, and afterwards of the Grove, in Kentish-town aforesaid, both in Middlesex, following no trade or business, then of No. 13, Camden-terrace West, Camden-town, and late of No. 17, Hemingford-terrace, Pentonville, both in Middlesex, Trustee and one of the Managing Committee of the Elastic Pavement Company,'
