Biography

  1. John was the first son of Sir John Boyd 2nd Bart. (q.v.) and Margaret Boyd (née Harley).
  2. On 22 Sept. 1818 he married Harriett, the second daughter of the late Hugh Boyd, of Bally Castle, co. Antrim, Esq. They had three children: John-Augustus-Hugh, born on 30 July 1819, Frederick, born on 12 Aug. 1820, and Henrieta, born in Jan. 1825
