1. Will of John Halliday of Antigua proved 16/11/1779. Under the will (made in 1776) he honoured an annuity of £400 p.a. left by his father-in-law to his wife Elizabeth and increased it to £800 p.a., of which £400 p.a was to be charged on his estate called Weatherills Popeshead of Dickinson's Bay sold by the Deputy Provost Marshal by virtue of sundry executions against Charles Pym Weatherill (Weatherills was left subject to this annuity to his son Francis Delap Halliday), and £400 p.a. to the rest of his property which he left to his residuary heir John Delap Halliday after monetary legacies, including £150 each to his son-in-law and daughter Richard and Margaret Willson (he had he said already given them £20,000) and £500 and an annuity of £50 p.a. to a man named Thomas Halliday on Antigua, clearly a natural son.
