Shown as owner of Chancery Hall estate in St Andrew 1795-1811, presumably as heir of Samuel Walter senior (q.v.).

  1. Will of Samuel Walter gentleman of Holmpton Yorkshire East Riding [made in 1803] proved 27/01/1810. In the will he left his Yorkshire property, his houses in the 'back ropery' of Kingston-on-Hull, and the plantation formerly known as Clarke's then Chancery Hall [and the enslaved people on it] to his only daughter Mary Ann Walter for life and then to his great grandson Richard Lacy.
