William Campbell MP

1710 - 1787


Biography

MP for Glasgow Burghs 1734-1741. Married as his first wife Susanna, daughter of Hon. Thomas Bernard of Jamaica, who inherited £5000 under her father's will. No evidence has been found of direct slave-owning by either of the couple.
