Biography

Will of Jeremiah Browne late of Apps Court Surrey but now of St Christopher [made 19/07/1754] proved 18/11/1755. Under the will he entailed his estates on St Christopher to his son Jackson Browne for life then his heirs, failing whom Lord Cranstoun, then Jeremiah Browne's daughter and Lord Cranstoun's wife Lady Cranstoun, and their son William Cranstoun. He left Apps Court in trust for his daughter Elizabeth Hodges for life and then to her heirs. In the will he forgave the indebtedness to him of James Browne, son of his late brother John Browne of Nevis.
