John Chenery

Merchant in Barbados and father of the newspaper editor Thomas Chenery.

1. Will of John Chenery of St Michael Barbados proved 18/02/1834. He left his wife William Ann [sic] a house and one acre of land in Kensington Row in St Michael for life, then to his daughter Mary Byron; he left his son Thomas a moiety of a house in High Street, St Michael, and one moiety of a leasehold house in Nottingham Mews St Marylebone and 10 1/2 acres of land in St George Barbados. He instructed that his son Thomas should go to 'College' and train for a profession.
