Elizabeth George Hartman (née Akers)

Entitled under a settlement of 1818 to £10,000 secured on Jambou Vale in St Vincent which belonged to her father Edmund Fleming Akers (q.v.). No death-date has yet been found for her: she appears to have died before the compensation process.

1. Administration of the will of Elizabeth George Hartman formerly of Ealing but late of Clifton [made in 1819] was granted 02/02/1841 to James Stoddart Douglas, lawful attorney of William Henry Hartman the surviving husband then in Madras. The will comprises a reprise of the settlement of 'August past' [1818] under which Edmund Fleming Akers, who owned the Jambou Vale estate on St Vincent subject to a £7500 mortgage to Aretas Akers, settled £10,000 secured on Jambou Vale to accumulate over for years on his daughter with power for her to will it, which she duly did to her [infant] son Edmund Fleming Akers Hartman. She noted that her father had not conveyed the estate into trust, hence the need for her to maker her will when she did.
