Biography

Non-conformist minister and legatee from his father Thomas Pewtress of an annuity on the property of Matthew Christian in Antigua (almost certainly Elmes] of an annuity of £62 10s on his [John Barber Pewtress'] own life.

The Baptist Quarterly had a four page obituary for John Barber Pewtress (1756-1827), which said among other things that Thomas Pewtress had disinherited his son, which appears incorrect.
