Resident planter. Probably James Ingram McCatty.
Some unsourced background on James Ingham McCatty appears at http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/2958372/person/-1796780481/story/9dd5ca99-7187-439d-98a0-6bea0bf6f40b?src=search [accessed 27/01/2011]. This indicates that Glasgow was owned by McCatty or his wife in 1830. The 1831 Jamaica Almanac shows 'estate of John Thomson' for Glasgow: M'Catty was Thomson's executor, and Thomson was shown as the mortgagee of the estate.
