Biography

  1. Will of John Lewis King, Captain in the British Army of Westmoreland Jamaica [made in 1850 and lodged in Jamaica in 1853] proved 20/03/1854. He left £300 each to his younger sons Godfrey Basil King and Fife Elletson King (the latter named after both his father and his brother). He left one acre of land on Kingwood to each of Jane Goodin, Mary Ann King and the children of 'my servant James Juggins' for their respective lives. The rest of his estate he left equally between his sons John Lewis King, Godfrey Basil King and Fife Elletson King.
