Biography

Brother of Lord Lawrence Dundas [q.v.] and owner until his death of two estates, one in Grenada and one in Dominica. Based on the compensation records, the Grenada estate was Dougalston: the estate in Dominica was possibly Castle Bruce.

  1. Naval officer and politician, MP for Richmond 1802-1806 and 1812, and for Orkney and Shetland 1818-1820 and 1826-1830. In a codicil dated 02/0/1820 to the will of his father, Sir Thomas Dundas 2nd bart., his father had left him his (unnamed) estates in Dominica and Grenada.
